Tzadik`s residential in Sadhora

The history of this building is closely related to the history of tzadiks` dynasty from Friedman clan. Rabbi Yisroel Friedman, the Ruzhiner Rebbe, relocated his court to Sadagóra in winter of 1842. He  lived in Sadagóra for ten years, built a palatial home and a large synagogue, tens of thousands of Hasidim frequented his cour until he died in 1850. At this point, the second son of the Ruzhiner Rebbe, Rabbi Avrohom Yaakov Friedman, assumed the mantle of leadership of the Sadigura Hasidim, becoming known as the first Sadigura Rebbe. After Avrohom death the Friedman`s grandson took his place. Friedmans escaped to Vienna with the outbreak of World War I in 1914. The center of Hasidism had its best of times in 70-80 years of XIX century so it`s logical to assume that synagogue was built in that period. So every one of them -  father, son and grandson are buried on Jewish cemetery in Sadhora. And their grave is a place of pilgrimage for hasids all over the world.
